Sergey Pereslegin in Derivatives

We are beginning to publish Sergey Pereslegin’s commentary to ABS’ complete works in the Derivatives section.  Since A Beetle in an Anthill and Waves Calm the Wind were the first books to be published here, we thought if fitting to publish the corresponding foreword (The Infinity of Simple Solutions) first.

I don’t know what the deal is, but the normally very accommodating Contact Form 7 plugin decided that it doesn’t like the system environment here.  It kept encountering some unspecified kind of problem sending mail, so I had to work out an alternative solution…

First Full-text Publication

The Chronicles of the 22nd Century by Mikhail Shavshin was just published in the Derivatives section.  This article, written around 1990, is an attempt to compile a chronology of events described (or even mentioned in passing) in several ABS books, including Noon, 22nd Century, A Beetle in an Anthill, The Little One, An Inhabited Island, and Waves Calm the Wind.  The article strives for authenticity, so it often uses words (such as “Ranger” or “Reader”) that have slightly (and sometimes, not so slightly) different meanings in the “Noon Universe”.  (Note to self: start putting together a brief Noon Universe dictionary…)

…at least it does on this site.  We are up and running.  Software is installed, layout configured.  The only thing left is to put in some content… 🙂
